KIDS UNDERSTANDING DIVORCE & SEPARATION

Developing Coping Skills

Going through divorce or separation can be an incredibly tough and bewildering time for children. As a parent, you want to do everything in your power to help them through this change, and sometimes that means seeking out external support. If your child is in grades 4-9 and could benefit from some extra guidance, sessions to build resiliency and coping skills might be an excellent option. These sessions can arm your child with the tools they need to process and deal with the stresses that come with any family upheaval. By providing a positive and informative approach to navigating these challenges, children can develop a stronger sense of self and better come to terms with the changes happening around them. Knowing that they have someone in their corner to help them cope and build resilience can be invaluable in getting your child through this tough time.
